-Count Maag of Covania was the head of a sect of extremist nobles that saw the loose federation with Oxtrad and Reton as a concession on Covania’s part. Maag pushed for the subjugation of the two neighbouring kingdoms under the promise that the continent would enjoy greater stability and safety from outside threats if all their armed forces came under one unitary power. He received harsh criticism from conglomerate hardliners and persecution at his push to use outlawed races in the military to overwhelm Reton and Oxtrad simultaneously. Maag staged a coup d’etat to take control of the Kingdom of Corvania himself but was betrayed by many of the nobles who were angered by his relaxed stance on outlawed races. Maag’s family was executed, his keep razed and his lands divided between the surrounding nobles. Maag died 10 years later in the dungeons of Covania at age 56. +
