  * To satisfy the family business, Mac is sent out to the world to find himself and decide whether he wants to sell nuts.
  * Hazel has innovated into riches with a nut alcohol (Pecan Colada) and urges Mac to follow her path.
  * Coco lives on a beach without a care in the world.
  * Miss Stachio, Mac's tutor, encouraged him to travel the world and find himself. She died of a nut allergy in Mac's early teens.
