-The Araxis family was a rather secretive noble family of Sorcerers, Those that did know of them knew of their heavy investment into the adventuring guild known as M.M.A.P making them quite influential with wide reach until recently that is.
+Silas underwent the blood hunter ritual and it went horribly wrong, he grew stronger but something changed, he is on a quest for revenge but against who and why? As far as he knows the only one he can trust with his life is Orion.
-Silas was son to mother Estelle and father Aragon. another son joining as 7th. with 6 older sisters and brothers all looking at him like they expected big things. The Araxis family held pride in their Sorcerous origins, specific breeding was done to keep the family name in Arcane power, all of Aragon’s children thus far had become strong Aberrant Mind Sorcerers before they came of age, All that is until Silas. only soon after he began to walk it was plain to see something was wrong, Unknown marks appeared on his flesh beginning on his feet and hands then spreading over his childhood, No doctor or healer could make sense of it, and any drastic options such as amputation were rejected by Estelle
-What's worse is that he was not able to use magic, weather from the curse that plagued his body or the curse was punishment for not being able to use magic was unknown. But aside from his parents the rest of his family taughted and shammed him, His brothers and sisters, cousins, uncles and aunts all looked down upon him like he was lesser. His parents however held strong love for their son Silas. When he was old enough to hold a sword his training began, No magic but perhaps he could still serve the family name with blade, However even that proved to much for his debilitated body even perhaps worsening the curse. His mind was determined but his body failed him time and time again. By this point the reticule from his family had peaked. His siblings and cousins had gone from petty insults to pranks and then physical abuse. But every day Silas would try once more to train. His tenacity angering the others until a boiling point and they attacked, not for hinderance but to kill. The spells landed but after each blow the pain was less, Until eventually Silas stood tall pelted with arcane attacks and not feeling anything. it seemed something about him was nullifying their magic.
-News of this quickly spread and things became dire, The majority of the family already thought of Silas as expendable but now they saw him as useful. Like a lab rat they spoke of tearing him apart and looking inside, to see what gave him this unique power. A counter to the family's magic should be studied and honed for our use. His parents Aragon & Estelle refused this at every turn, quickly losing favor within the family and putting marks on their heads themselves.
-Home was no longer safe
-in the dead of night a desperate call was made by Silas's parents, to one of their oldest friends within the Guild, a Goliath Man named Orion, He agreed to keeping Silas safe even before the parents had finished their sentence and before they could thank him he was already on his way. But other ears were listening, the eldest brother Cyrax, Disgusted that such a shameful brother would be escaping judgment. he went to his uncle Paralax, woke him up and told him what was going on.
-Silas was out in the woods training when it happened. he would often sneak out at night when his Parents couldn't stop him and the rest of the family couldn't abuse him. Caught winded against the tree looking up at the starry sky, but slowly the stars faded. was it morning already? the warm glow of the sunrise slowly washed over the sky. Wait, The glow is coming from the north….that's not the sun! a waft on the air. Smoke?!
-Silas's gaze snapped to the direction of the glow as he forced his tired cursed body to its feet. Running as fast as his wracked legs could, through the trees towards the glow, towards his home. Panic, his heart racing, adrenaline, thinking of the worse but praying it wasn't true. as he got closer he herd the crackle and roar of an inferno, coming into sight, his home ablaze. The flames reducing his life to ash. he could only stare stunned. his gaze falling upon figures standing before the blaze. back turned but he knew that cloak. his uncle Paralax and his siblings, bothers and sisters, all watching the blaze. but they only radiated malice. Then he heard something break through the roar of the unforgiving flames. Screams of pain and terror. Silias's heart dropped, the screams of his parents, still inside, burning alive.
-For the first time in his life he felt unstoppable as he commanded his body to run, to save his parents, tears in his eyes and just barely a screech from his throat. but halted as a sharp pain to his head, then it all went black.
-Before Silas hit the ground the arm of a friend caught him and lowered him to the ground. The Goliath stood tall stepping infront of Silias as an immovable wall between him and the rest of his family. Orion illuminated by the flames but the shadows over took his face. his eyes drenched in black yet you could feel the gaze of murderous hatred through any amount of darkness. The screams of his friends like claw marks down his soul, but for Silas he stood firm.
-Paralax drew his blade. “Well well, it isn't like the Guild to get involved with Araxis matters. What brings you here Orion? playing hero?” The Goliath's fist clenched, his teeth grating, blood running from his mouth his jaw was so tight in rage it broke his gums. “ I am not here for the Guild…i am here on request of…. Friends” Paralax laughed “Oh? what a shame you won't get to say hello.” his blade pointed at Orion “Now step aside, there is one more loose end we need to tidy up.” Orion beat his chest as his voice boomed, commanding, angry, like holding back a raving beast on the brink of succumbing to blind rage. “ The very Gods couldn't move me at the moment Paralax! You will call the dirt your grave if you try! Utter vile scum you are would taint the earth where every your corpse falls!”
-There was a long wordless silence as the flames raged on. a stand off.
-breaking the silence Paralax spoke “why not just kill me if you feel so strongly about it?” Oriron growled before looking back at Silas. “Its not my right to take the life of the Araxis family. after everything there is only one who has that right now. and i will not rob him of the satisfaction he will get tearing your skull from your spine.” There was silence again until Orion knew that the enemy would not make a move. He picked up Silas and threw him over his shoulder. his next words spoken in Skilt the language of the True Giants. Words spoken in this tongue are like writing the lore of the world and swearing your soul to it. “I will watch over this boy, and i will make sure he will begin the journey to his vengeance. he will live this night and he will be the end to the bloodline Araxis!”
-after that they go back and Orion starts to try and train Silas, but his body is just too weak so Plan B is initialized to conduct the blood hunter ritual
-now Blood hunter rituial is a well guarded secret so they would have to jounrey to the Vien Hunter pack
-An old friend of Orion’s named Darian oversees the ritual and due to Silas’s sickly body the ritual brings unexpected results. Silas changes into a beast, his once sick body was now that of an savage animal ready to rip his foes apart
-after that training can begin proper, Orion puts in the good word to get him part of the guild and ditches the last name Araxis to go unnoticed and his new form was a great help in that, his new last name was Sylvantis and in between his guild work he is catching up on the basics with Orion
-until he is selected to journey to the old world to set up a stronghold in the guilds name
-Silas used to be a scrawny boy with bruises and strange markings all over his body and after the hunters bane ritual he transforms into a beast, looking similar to a bugbear, lean enough to be quick while also packing a punch, pitch black fur all over, 7ft tall.
-mutagen formulas make Silas unleash more of his new beast side depending on the purpose. Growing wings if he develops flight or hardening his skin to become resistant to a type of damage
-Long term goals: wants revenge for his mother and father; Wants to kill Paralax and potentially end the Araxis lineage
