**Effect**
  *Life-defiling energy radiates from you in an aura with a 30-foot radius . Until the spell ends, the aura moves with you, centered on you . Whenever creatures of your choice enter the area for the first time on a turn or start their turn there, they must make a Constitution saving throw . On a failed save, a creature takes 4d6 necrotic damage and can’t regain hit points until the start of their next turn . On a successful save, a creature takes half as much damage and suffers no other effect .
