On Your journey through the ruins of Stowjaw you discover a bloodied rotten book, seems to be a diary of sorts, possible from on of the prisoners of this hellhole long ago. You open it to find that the pages are still easily readable, written in infernal it seems.

Stowjaw, I never thought such a place could exist, after seeing it first hand I can believe that it is a fragment of the 9 hells thats strayed into our world. It isn’t a prison, it’s a torture chamber, not anything deserves this.

Day 6: I was brought here almost a week ago but still I don’t know why.
I remember being taken down by a moving platform of sorts. The place smells of hot metal and rotting flesh. From what I can tell this prison is a pit of sorts, a straight drop in the center all the way to brimstone. Cells lined in a circular pattern on many floors that travel down. It seems chains and bits of iron are used as a means of crossing the gap by the wardens.
The wardens are these brutish male figures. Shirtless with heavy iron helmets and wrist cuffs, ragged blacksmith aprons and clothing cover their lower half.

The cells are unlocked, at this level at least, from where I am I can see that I am on the top floor of this prison but no where near the surface. The pit extends all the way up, the light from the moon just gets in, it’s truly a bastard design, gives the prisoners a glimpse of hope where there is none, just for it to be crushed.
yet I see some wardens carry around keys, so the cells further bellow must be locked I don’t understand why but I am sure I will find out soon. I see many other prisoners in other cells. Nobody seems to be in the mood for talking and nobody dares exit their cells. It’s safe in here. Out there wardens grab you and drag you lower. I hear screams of death and mercy down bellow. I will surely die here, I just hope it’s swift.

Day:9 I have seen a few people get taken down now, I know it will soon be my turn. They don’t give us anyfood or water and I can feel myself starving yet I do not passout or die. I should be a limp wreck but all I know is the pain of hunger. What is this place?

Day: 10: I was taken and moved to the lower floors. 3 floors down, the stench of death was stronger and the halls were filled wi5 pitafil moans of dispair and misery. Blood stained the metal and stone used to build this place. I still don’t know why I am here.

Day 12: I felt the first of their hot lashes today. They chained me above the pit and whipped me for hours. I didn’t know I could bleed so much. I should be dead with all the blood I lost yet I am still here. The scares sting on my back like hot knives, I am starting to realise the situation I am in and it’s filling me with dread, but I cannot loose myself.

Day 53: I haven’t written in so long. Whips where just the start. After every few days they dragged me to the lower levels, I spent the past7 days locked in one of their burning iron maidens. I want it to stop, I looked to take my own life but found the cells down here are locked, and it makes sense, other prisoners are smashing their heads on the ground or slashing their throughts on the rusted metal to try and end it but all the do is sail in pain, unable to die. Tossing yourself into the pit seems to be the only way. But it’s impossible the wardens are relentless.

Day 103: I…I don’t remember my name. I don’t remember anything but this hell, I know I had something but it’s so far gone. I see bits of me falling off, organs I am loosing yet I refuse to die. I seem to have made it to the lowest levels but should I really be thinking of it like that? I was put in a cell near another prisoner, a strange one, not human he has a single horn and a long tail, pale skin and long white hair. He looked in no better shape then me, missing his legs and part of his torso. But it was someone that spoke. I had almost forgot how to speak.

He said he was from Nabilhime, a warrior that was driven out after it fell to invasion. Amazing he can still remember. He had been here far longer then I and I could tell he was far stronger. Yet he had given up hope. Then I saw myself, and a new burst of fire ignited whither me. I gave him a stern talking to and I could of sworn I saw him cry and herd him thank me.

The bastard did it. He cut those blasted creators down, splitting them in two. I saw him rip through them with his bare hands. He pulled an ethereal weapon out of the air and slaughtered them. This will be my last entry, he said he would be back for me once he cleared the lower levels, I don’t even know if I want to go back or simply be thrown in the pit. Let it be known that Zyllis is a Hero. He saved me, to anyone that finds this if you are in need, The man known as Zyllis will pull you from the darkest depths of this world.

But what is Stowjaw? what was it exsactly? it was a prison sure but for who? Random people it seemed. This prison is not claimed by any country, its not even on every map. the lower floors are burried beneath tons of earth now from cave ins. but something feels off. the stench alone makes it feel like a bit of suffering. why were so many people being brought here and tourtured? why dose this prison run so deep? could they have been working on something?
Its also strange…above the prisons seems to be ground zero of where the portals opeend up all those years ago.
