Once granted his freedom for his years of service , his master offered him a spot on his ship as navigator, offering a stable way to see the worlds.  Anchor accepted and became a beloved part of the crew. Because he is small and easy to lift , the crew often joke that the pup would be a great Anchor for the ship, hence his new name Anchor. They also enjoy throwing the poor pup over board when he makes a navigation mistake. This is why he spends most of his time in the Crow's Nest on the ship and even sleeps there most dry nights.
