When attacked with a melee or ranged attack The plate Armor phases itself into the ethereal plane to avoid it, Returning to the material plane afterwards and re-equips itself to the wearer.

A Plate of armour made with the flesh of an ethereal wyrm. However something went wrong in the design process and the final product is less that useless.
