This 'Nation' was first to be claimed during a string of over-ambitious Fey trying to play the part of mortal. Brining order to a realm of chaos. Against the Feywild's very nature was the idea of order. Yet when a select few Arch-Fey stood up wanting a change there were many who agreed and followed.
The one to lead the thorn throne was non other than the self proclaimed Fairy King himself. King Magnus
Borders were drawn at the southern end of Hither. Most of the Feywilds would watch the events with confusion, disgust or simply not taking it seriously as most Fey do about everything. But nothing was acted against. For the Feywild is the realm of chaos, and what better way to bring Chaos to the chaotic then implement order.
Year 12294 - 12316
Playing the part of Mortal within the realm of Fey would bring about all it had, mostly conflict. and soon after with another nation being on their border, ruled by a different Arch-Fey with different ideas on how to bring Order to Chaos. War was inevitable. as if the Inexrorable of Fate had decreed it itself.
the Floral Thorn War lasted twenty-two (22) mortal years with both sides showing the true horror Fey could inflict upon each other. Fey did not have the same morals and little empathy that a regular Mortal would have, Events, punishments and practices during the war were truly vile.
Towards the end of the war, King Magnus's Son and Daughter had turned against him, Raided the castle and by the end, the King was dead, the Prince was presumed dead but many years later would be found alive, and the Princess went mad in bloodlust and slaughtered not only the occupants of the castle but her own soldiers, Then fled to the mortal realm.
With the power vacuum the nation was perfect for a new ruler to rise up, Yet no one did.
Loosing the war had pushed the nation to the brink of collapsing entirely and a realm of Fey do not yet understand the overcomplication of Mortal workings. If it wasn't for the aid of a mercenary group known as Black Albertross the kingdom surely would have fallen completely. it had fallen into a power struggle with the death of King Magnus during the Floral Thorn War.
Year 12344 - Present
The Thorn Throne was only a few steps away from reclaiming their former status and relevancy. With the Help of Black Albatross and the 'Princess' planned to be returned to the throne it was all but confirmed. How quickly plans come undone. What took decades of dedication and action was undone in a few days. During the events of Whispers of the Wilds the remaining members of royalty were killed and Black Albertross lost all its members of leadership, Utter devastation.
With no royalty to take the throne, and no support from the defunct Black Albatross the nation once known as the Thorn Thone dissolved entirely and now remains as only bad memories in some Fey.
King Magnus was a faerie through and through, a common warning given to visitors was to be careful what you say and be even more so with what you wish. It is often debated whether a deal with a devil or fae is worse, Magnus' power was a strong point for fae being worse, but with enough good will and correct wording Magnus was very rewarding to those who spent their time asking for exactly what they wanted.
with the fall of King Magnus, leadership fell to his children Prince Amatheon and Princess Adelina but neither taking the throne as Amatheon was thought to have perished during the attack on Magnus and Adelina fleeing to the material plane. The throne has been contested ever since, many try to claim it and many more fall.
Adelina Magnus
Adelina returned to the Feywild in her blood thirst madness and was executed by the Petal dragon a few months later.
Amatheon Magnus (Roviro)
Amatheon did not know who he was when he stood at he end of his life. Watching the Sister he knew and the sister he had executed before his eyes, unable to act. Pan-Ah-Koh claimed what was owed.
