You gain a +1 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with these magic weapons. Once per round, if both blades strike a single foe, they deal an extra 1d6 fire damage. When you score a critical hit with either blade, roll a d6 on the Devils row of the Servitors chart (page 31). Flames burst from the ground and the rolled servitor appears. This servitor fights for you and obeys your commands. They return to Hell after 1 minute or if they drop to 0 hit points. If this weapon strikes a demon, it shackles it and pulls it down to Hell, removing it from the battle.
A pair of devils, twins, Vincere and Punire, grew bored of merely using weapons, they wished to be the instruments of demise not just musicians who played the song of death. Shortly before the Ashlem War the twins forged their new forms a pair of infernal shortswords, invoking powerful bindings they bound their souls to the new blades and in an irreversible act shed their mortal forms.
They were taken up by many devils and demons during the war empowering their wielder and devastating those who faced against them, the twins lived on while their mortal musicians fell. The twins were left in the Ashlem Rise after their former subject fell to the Royal Conglomerate forces at the end of the war. The blades lay dormant for many years, that is until a lost being with a soul seeking independence came along. Talia Knight daughter to a haunted father and absent mother, the twins called out to her and she was drawn to their plea.
