History
Pre-Campaign
Growing up with her father constantly haunted by his past, he refused to let Talia travel to train with the clerics and paladins of Tyr, pleading her to live a quiet and peaceful life, not to go through what he once did. He also completely shut out any conversation about her mother she knew nothing about only fuelling her desire to explore and learn further. She only found freedom in the hour journey between her home at the Lily Vale Cemetery and the city of Ferrabreeze, where she visited local temples and bought supplies for her father and the cemetery.
In 12333 a small temple to Tyr offered her a journey to help restoration efforts within the Ashlem Rise as an acolyte, Talia accepted and left with the expedition group into the rise without a word to her father. After a fateful night and following days while in the Ashlem Rise she came to posses the twinblades who promised justice, power, and vengeance. Read the full story in Talia and the Twins.
After leaving the Ashlem Rise, now with the power and freedom that Vincere and Punire promised her, she became an adventurer, travelling and fulfilling bounties and contracts that pleased her and the twin blades.
Notable Features
Human variant feat: Dual Fighter
You master fighting with two weapons, gaining the following benefits:
- You gain a +1 bonus to AC while you are wielding a separate melee weapon in each hand.
- You can use two-weapon fighting even when the one-handed melee weapons you are wielding aren't light.
- You can draw or stow two one-handed weapons when you would normally be able to draw or stow only one.
The Twinblades, Vincere and Punire
If you are a neutral character, these black iron shortswords function as normal weapons with no bonus or special properties. If you are good, touching either weapon deals 2d8 necrotic damage to you. If you are an evil character, you can use Vincere and Punire as magic weapons with the following properties.
You gain a +1 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with these magic weapons. Once per round, if both blades strike a single foe, they deal an extra 1d6 fire damage. When you score a critical hit with either blade, roll a d6 on the Devils row of the Servitors chart (page 31). Flames burst from the ground and the rolled servitor appears. This servitor fights for you and obeys your commands. They return to Hell after 1 minute or if they drop to 0 hit points. If this weapon strikes a demon, it shackles it and pulls it down to Hell, removing it from the battle.
