Razar, the Loxodon, A strong Druid studying the Circle of Dreams, was born with a strange intuition. Visions and dreams often showing shreds of the future or guidance for prosperity. He experienced an easy life because of this unique ability although it was fragile and temperamental. Whenever Razar tried to explain or share his wisdom the other Loxodon would silence him. The power Raza had was “not natural and should not be relied on”. Old tales which told of dreamers and seers lead their people to ruin, Relying on the easy knowledge coming from dreams.
When Raza would not yield his ways the tribe forced him out of the city. Keeping him isolated, just as their leaders culture commanded.
In Raza's isolation his dreams began to show new things, rather than help they seem to be trying to tell him of something. a new land he thought. far from Arcadia. in another plane of existence. He often saw visions of a place beyond the light of Arcadia. An enchanted idyllic land of sparkling twilight, air dense with chaotic arcane energy, and creatures as gentle as a feather together with monsters from his deepest nightmares. He began to believe this place must exist, and his curiosity drove him to leave his people to seek it out.
During his travels one dream stood out to Razar more than most. It was possibly the most vivid Dream Raza had in a long time. He saw a tragedy unfold in the same strange realm he was searching for. War.
The land was ravaged by a war, a war that seems to be lasting decades. It was impossible to tell if the war was current or in the past…or even the future. But he knew it was truth.
Razar would be tormented by dreams through his journey. Seeing himself in this land of fey. helping its citizens then being consumed by its monsters. over and over again. He began to dread sleep. trying to stay awake through the night and the next to avoid the torment. But even as he journeyed weak from sleep depuration the visions began to manifest before his eyes.
Fearing he was going mad he tried everything he knew to calm his nerves and shut out the dreams, But they would not be silenced.
On the brink of his mind breaking he found himself in Vylanna Forest Where everything seemed to quiet down. he slept soundly for the first time in a long time. only dreaming of being on the edge of the border. a border between worlds.
He stands at the end of his journey but the beginning of his adventure. He only hopes that this calling can answer the mysteries surrounding his dreams.
