Less Known Trait.
Something a bit more specific. perhaps major events that have happened tat have affected the species in some way. a curse or blessing, any particular affiliations with groups or gods.
Abyssal-Spawn Sub-Species
these beings are so chaotic and different from one another that its impossible to categorise them into specific sub-species. There are certain groups for sure but without a defined culture its not practical to sub-categorise these beings. Rather a list of some familiar types will be provided.
Drider
Source:
Arcadia, Volume 12
(MCDM)
Though Drow are agreed to be Elves, after they are joined with a monster of the abyss they too fall into this category. Normally a spider however others resembling scorpions, centipedes, slugs and other such creatures have been recorded.
The Drider are Drow who have been transformed via an agonising process normally passed down by the Drow's Queen Goddess. Normally as a punishment the Spider Queen Will curse an unfavourable Drow to become a Drider. Centaur-like creatures with the bodies of giant spiders or similar arachnid, Their lower half/legs are transformed into that of an arachnid such as a Spider or Scorpion Matching the image of the Drow's Goddess. A very monstrous and painful transformation.
This is normally seen as a punishment delivered by the Spider queen, Given to those Drow that have shamed the queen beyond redemption or committed some form of great sin.
For male Drow, Becoming a Drider is all but total exile. Male Driders are shunned and shamed by other Drow, Even other Male Drider tend to not interact with each other. To wander the Underdark shunned by other Drow. You will often find them just outside Drow encampments in an effort not to be completely alone, Some are even used as makeshift slaves. But in the end, As all know to take the Queen's curse is to remain alone forever.
This leads to Male Drider being rather friendly to other species of the Underdark, and more notable, Travlers to the Underdark. A Male Drider in the Underdark while is normally in a sad state will often be overjoyed to meet creatures that are not out to hurt or harm. and will offer guidance if however temporary trough the upper levels of the Underdark
Female Drider on the other hand can go a entirely different direction. Female Drider more often are treated differently though Like Male Drider's most Feale Driders are also doomed to a life of isolation from their people but rarely Female Driders become a being of worship. Lady Drider normally grow their own cult-like followings weather by choice or not. Other Drow who may not agree with the Spider Queen's teachings looking for a new leader or belive that the transformation is a form of blessing, Seeing the new female Drider as a sort of prophet from the Spider Queen.
Spawn

BattleZoo Ancestries: Classic Creatures, Pg 6
(3rd Party)
In Ancient text these creatures were referred too as 'Demons' however the confusion caused with the overlap of the terms 'Demons' and 'Devils' having close ties with one another meant that a new name must be incorporated. Scholars landed on 'Spawn' but a more refined named is also used as spawn is also prime for overlapping confusion. 'Abosyalite'
Its quite on theme that deciding on the name for these creatures is so 'Chaotic' as these creatures are the spawn of the Abyssal realm known as Pandemonium. The most common form of power that holds intelligence within the realm.
Spawn come in a frightening amount of shapes and sizes. Due to the nature of such creatures and their home realm almost no two 'Spawn' are alike, however they share many charistics that usually portray their abilities and behaviour.
Unlike most beings of chaos and Pandemonium, once a Spawn takes its shape it very rarely changes afterwards and if it does only minor changes occur. Unlike Mimics or Chaos Beasts, a Spawn's form is born from Chaos but holds a consistent shape once it comes to be, This is what allows spawn to leave Pandemonium so easily and journey to other realms. For their form is ridged and stable in all other realms.
Spawn are not only born, they are made. Mortal forms/ souls that fall to the Dregs of the Cosmology, the Chaotic realm of Pandamonium will have their form changed, twisted and manipulated by chaotic force, Until its unrecognisable. Some hold their sanity after such a transformation but most do not. It is known to be a similar effect to what happens to mortals who come into close contact with the Old Gods.
