Yuan-Ti

Return to Cultures - Return to Species

Most would consider an Un-Holy crossbreed between serpent and mortal. Scholars have been rather hesitant to confirm the exact origins of the Yuan-Ti people weather it was some dark magic ritual or simple adventurous procreation, Knowing man's rather one track mindset throughout the generations, the latter hypothesis is most likely.

These creatures are never naturally born. Sethos or more commonly recognised as Medusa are mortals who have suffered a serpent's curse weather via dark ritual, special Yuan-Ti poisons or other ill events the resulting creature is normally a a humanoid with a snake body replacing its legs and serpents sprouting from the head in place of hair.
Reversing the curse is a tall task and many Sethos may go mad before they are able to return to normal, or fall into a more savage and hostile frame of mind during isolation.
