Item Charges
- The staff has 10 charges for the following properties. It regains 1d6 + 4 expended charges daily at dawn. If you expend the last charge, roll a d20. On a 1, the staff loses its properties and becomes a nonmagical quarterstaff.
Spell Caster
- You can use an action to expend 1 or more of the staff’s charges to cast one of the following spells from it, using your spell save DC and spellcasting ability modifier:
- blur (2 charges)
- dust cloud* (3 charges)
- faerie fire (1 charge)
- gust of wind (2 charges)
- meld into stone (3 charges)
- speak with animals (1 charge)
- stoneskin (4 charges)
- You can also use an action to cast the create or destroy water spell from the staff without using any charges
Spirit of the Sand
- You can use an action to plant one end of the staff in sand and expend 1 charge to cast sandstorm,* centered on the staff. You and up to six creatures of your choice that you can see are immune to the effects of the sandstorm. Once this property is used, it can’t be used again until the next dawn.
