A tiefling who lived in Reton during the years just before the laws were changed.

Hailing from the land of Ostrov Corvus left his home land running from the responsibility of being a father. Though when he arrived in Mor-Thir he failed to reaerch that Tieflings such as him were seen as criminals and monsters.

Though if anything Corvus was a cunning man, Silver tongued and charming to say the least. He made friends quickly allowing him to skirt the authorities wrath while he lived a quiet party life.

Though only a few years later the life he had flead would find him again. As if lady Fate was watching his heart strings, His Son showed up on his door step with an attitude of hatred and a letter detailing the passing of his, officially Ex-wife, who had managed to sign off the documents before her death out of spite for Corvus.

Xander Thrash, A Tabaxi teenager who only had disgruntled feelings towards his “father” was now thrust upon Corvus’s life.
Though new responsibility was given Corvus did little at first to change his ways but his heart was only mortal. Guilt wore away at his indifference to his Son, Sparks of joy when being with him gave life to hope and longing. And eventually Corvus decided to take his Son Xander on an Adventure.

A tiefling bard having a harsh midlife crisis, he realises he has been spending too much time breaking his marriage vows and not enough time with his son. after the death of his now Ex-wife left Corvus with full custody over their only son he vows to go on a new adventure, father and son to “man him up” Corvus in his own world dose not see that too the rest of the world h is about as fit a parent is as a raving bear to an infant. But out to prove them wrong as Corvus thrusts Xander in to all sorts of cursed danger and disaster. its sure to be a ride.

Post-Campaign

The Dark Lord Straud destroyed and the cursed fog of Brovaria lifted the Demi-plane faded from exitance leaving the party of adventures to journey back through the gate to their own worlds.
Corvus returned to the land he started from. Mor-Thir many years had passed since his departure. a short time skip of a few years. Beneficial putting him in a land that had changed for the better. a New Nation that welcomed his Tiefling blood though it did little to quell the gripping sadness in his heart.

His Son, Xander had departed the group during the crossing, Wanting to venture on his own. Thrash could do little to stop him. Xander had indeed become a man of his own during that horrid adventure, Just what Corvus wanted, At least what he through he wanted. Xander Trash left to begin living his life on his own Corvus was lost. In the grueling months through Brovaria he had kindled a new loving relationship with his son and despite everything he never wanted him to go. Not just yet, At least he wanted to try and make more memories.
But as an adventurer himself he knew he had to let him leave.

Returning to his now abandoned home in disrepair even emptier than when he left. rotting food and rodents screeching in panic as Corvus shouldered the rickety door open, slamming it behind him only to hear it fall off the rusty hinges. He Slumped in a chair, letting his sorrow weigh him down like gravity clawing at his flesh. He wasn’t sure what to make of himself or what to do but he knew his adventuring days were over for a while.
He sat in that chair for what felt like days, as the loliness and sorrow dragged him in and out of the dark pit of despair as he thought more and more of his son and everything he would no longer be able to do with him. But eventually even the darkest nights are greeted by warm sunlight. and for Corvus. It was the reminder of his Promise to Paladin Ben and his talking horse Jerry.
Pulling himself together he began to clean himself down and repair his home. as his Promise to help Paladin Ben with his Nephew was fulling a small but stubborn fire.
He found the rewards from the Beholder who tasked thier party with the mission.

  • A Crate full of Gold and Platinum Bars
  • A Crate of fine liquors
  • (A Chosen item from the Beholder's Collection)

Ben & Corvus
Fixing up his home and sorting out his belongings, Corvus joined up with Ben and Jerry to help him with his nephew and bring him back from being a thrall of Strad.
It was less of a grand adventure and more of a victory lap. It took about a month to reach the Capital of Reton where Ben's Oath was based. The Paladin's status and influence kept the law from interfering with Corvus being a tiefling. In the end the cure for Ben's nephew was a rather Anti-Climax, with Straud defeated and access to top tier holy power Ben's Nephew was human again in a matter of days, and in a few weeks of recovery he would be back to normal.
Corvus and Ben journeyed back together enjoying this humble road trip while it lasted. eventually that journey came to an end as well.

The Long Years of Spiraling
Corvus quickly devolved into self pity and sorrow once again. With no friendly trip to help him out of it this time. He would squander his time at the local tavern drinking his vast fortune. Though it was indeed vast enough that it might take a lifetime to pour it into drink Corvus was inclined to try.
Months went by of a simple routine. Drink, Pass out, Drink, Go home, Drink some more. He was a mess and a shell of the man he used to be. He would spend most of his days and nights at the tavern. Being thrown out every so often due to his drunken mishaps. often he'd lie in the street saddened by his failure as a father and not enjoying moments with Xander sooner
It was occasionally broken up when joining newbie adventuring parties, trying to grasp that happiness he once had with his old party and Xander but each adventure was short lived. Either his drunken demur would get him left behind or thrown out. Even some adventures he was with would die leaving him alone once again.
Despite his vast wealth from the Beholder adventure in Brovaria he seemed hesitant to spend it. Rather trying to earn some other gold doing tasks that didn't remind him of Xander. He was between jobs.

Months turned into years as Corvus hit rock bottom.
One night while in the tavern he was standing up on a table, drunk out of his mind as usual and re-telling stories of him and his son defeating a great vampire lord.
The Customers had a good laugh at the Drunken Deadbeat dad. 'Triple D' he was known around the town, His drunken ravings become part of the town's charm. Though as with most nights he got too much too fast and was eventually thrown out into the street to wallow in the gutter.
As he sat in the muck on the street, Almost licking the glass of an empty rum bottle a lady walked by.

She took him for a poor man and threw some change his way, All she got in return was an angry drunken grunt and the ringing of coins as Corvus threw them back
“I don’t need your charity, Pretty soon I won’t need anything.” This woman quickly realized what he was talking about and offered him some shelter at her place to talk things over.

Thrash awoke the next day to a cooked meal and he was about ready to walk out to the tavern again and the lady spoke up and said “are you coming for breakfast?” He stopped dead in his tracks and walked back towards the massive spread on the table. “Is this for me?” He said. The lady laughed and said “well id like some too if you’re willing to share” thrash walked over to the table and began to eat with her. She spoke to him about his mental health and asked him if he was okay. Thrash told her his stories with xxf and why he was so sad. She listened to him and said “well I get why you are so down but you should move forward, if your son saw you like this I’m sure he wouldn’t approve. I know that it’s hard to think about anything other than the memories you made with him but realize that he is alive and well. The best thing you can do for him currently is to be someone he can one day come back to and tell his stories to” she sadly looks away and says “ I lost my daughter some years back, Haven’t been the same since but I hope she is looking down to me from the heavens and proud of who I am.” Thrash eyes open and he’s so touched by her words that he sheds a tear. He tells her “I’m sorry for your loss, you helping me is proof that she is proud of who you’ve become. I hope I can do the same for my son and you have helped me see that I haven’t been my best self for him, do you think you can help me on my path.” She smiles and says “ of course! Maybe we can help each other move forward, oh goodness I haven’t even told you my name yet, I’m Laia”. Thrash thinks for a second and says “ my name is Corvus” Fast forward about 4 years later Laia and Thrash, now going by his first name in honor of his new found self, are both coming out of a dungeon. “Whew that was a tough one eh Corvus.” “Yeah it wasn’t pretty that one. What do you say we go on home.” They make it home and as soon as they open the door you can hear the pitter patter of tiny feet hitting the ground followed by a little girls voice “ MOM, DAD!!!” she throws herself on to Corvus and he says “woah there, almost took me out Lilia.” He kisses her forehead and they close the door behind them.

2 hours later there’s a knock at the door. Who could it be? Perhaps a grown raccoon gentleman. Find out next time on dragon ball z

Corvus has now vowed to be to Lilia what he failed to be for XXF and hopes he can forgive him for his past. He will continue to live on and be someone for XXF to be proud of.
