Introduction
The most common intelligent species you will find among the Underdark are known as Drow, A species of Elven decent but share the similar chararistics of a dark blue complexion and white hair. It at least makes them easy to identify.
The Drider are Drow who have been transformed via an agonising process normally passed down by the Drow's Queen Goddess.
Centaur-like creatures with the bodies of giant spiders or similar arachnid from the waist down, Matching the image of the Drow's Goddess.
This is normally seen as a punishment delivered by the Spider queen. Given to those Drow that have shamed the queen beyond redemption or committed some form of great sin. Isolated and exiled.
Male Drider are mostly left to their isolated life forever more, To wander the Underdark shunned by other Drow. You will often find them just outside Drow encampments in an effort not to be completely alone, Some are even used as makeshift slaves.
Female Drider more often are treated differently. Lady Drider normally grow their own cult-like followings weather by choice or not. Other Drow who may not agree with the Spider Queen's teachings looking for a new leader or belive that the transformation is a form of blessing, Seeing the new female Drider as a sort of prophet from the Spider Queen.
Davilok was one such Drow, Daughter to the Undead Patron known as Vallthoa. Punished and transformed to Drider during her childhood, Her mere existence as daughter to the Draco-Litch proved a cultural threat. She has spent much of her independent life forming her own loyal tribe of Drow but she can't help but wonder what more could life offer?
Due to the Underdark's savage nature the day to day life grows stale. Its hard to develop culture and community when all your people know is conflict and survival. Davilok hopes to expand on what little ideas of Culture the Drow have.
The youngest child to the Undead Patron Valthoa before she gave up her mortality. She displays no draconic heritage but great untapped power sleeps within her as most Demi-Gods. There is no decent relationship between Valthoa and any of her children, Treating them more akin to servants or followers than family.
Davilok uses her mothers power and wields it as a Cleric.
Davilok is a very odd woman, Being respected and looked up to by common Drow or attacked by the other native fauna in the Underdark has left her social skills somewhat lacking.
Daughter to the Undead Patron Vaalthoa, Demi-Goddess Drider trying the come to terms with the hand she has been dealt. Carving a place out for herself in the Underdark as a leader of Drow. Perhaps has a tie to Arno in some way. Looking to further her influence in the Underdark, commences raids of the surface, Maybe a tie with Caelynn and Varis? as i belive their origin was a Drow raid?
