Introduction
A young Oblex created from Mindflayer experiments. Orphell is out to prove that monsters can be heroes too, and some deserve to be treated as friends rather than foes.
Orphell has a naïve look upon the world, the ways of mortal life are new to her, etiquette and speech lingo are all things she is still learning, Sarcasm or metaphors being completely alien to the newly created Oblex.
Being an intelligent monster Orphell is not officially recognized as a citizen of any nation. Without any documentation it makes it very hard to live in a nation so governed by title and documentation.
Resorting to stealing another's identity in order to cross any official checkpoint.
Her nature as an Oblex leads to her basic need to survive being a detriment to most intelligent life around her. Feeding off memories rather than normal food makes trips to the Market very awkward.
She makes an effort to target those more deserving of having their brains purged of higher function. top of her list is bandits and other intelligent monsters that don't share her views of “Fitting in”
Down the list is hobos, Unpleasant people, hermits, weird cult members, But she has once or twice taken an entire family when desperate.
Morality is questionable from those on the outside but Lions are not seen as evil for hunting why should an Oblex such as herself?
Being an Oblex, Orphell's Psionic abilities are very powerful, being able to study the ways of the Mystic, an art that has long been lost to the common Mages of the world.
The Form Orphell takes is by preference, though it has the eyes, mouth and nose of the normal mortal anatomy none of these body parts are functioning.
Orphell is functionally blind, instead using her psionic power and natural blindsence to see the colorless world around her. her own small bubble, lacing so much of what makes the world beautiful. yet despite not being able to see most of it she still wishes to fight for a better world.
Maybe one day she will gain enough power to overcome her natural near slightness.

Like many creatures before, Orphell has been captured by a pod of mindflayers and experimented on. a humble ooze once but now a functioning Oblex.
Orphell has been living in Uthasil for many years under the watch of Blackfire. Once known as The Golden Compass this criminal organization found the young Oblex when she took the life; and in proxy the identity, Of one of their low ranking members. Orphell remained undetected for a few months but eventually caught when she had killed and devoured another member, being caught in the act.
