Text.

Ilithid that go down a path of Arcane study often find lichdom as the prime source of Arcane Power available to them, these creatures are known as Alhoon. Heresy for an Ilithid pod, if they were not already cast out they would be upon discovery.

the 'Perfected' form of an Ilithid, mostly born when a Ulitharid undergoes ascension.

The primal form of an Ilithid, Tadpoles left to stagnate will turn on each other until one remains, this one will grow exponentially into a creature known as a Neolithid becoming the perfect primal predator for other Ilithid with abilities and strengths seemingly tailor made to directly counter and dominate Ilithid's and Elder-Brains. Hence the creation of one is see as a great shame and coming doom.
