Undead Sub Species
Revenant
Souls risen from death that keep their personality and sense of self, they may be free souls or bound to serve a master but they are far above your typical moaning zombie or rattling skeleton.
Psychopomps
Also known as Cadaveric
Souls who's actions in life did not lead them to Celestia or the Hells so ended up in Equilibrius, Purgatory for the souls of the mundane. they then after any number of years in the realm of Grey if the souls have shown strong sense of will to better themselves where most others simply fall into the endless grey cycle of the realm are chosen by the New gods who oversee this purgatory.
Knighting them in a way to be reborn as the undead species known as a Psychopomp.
They are often purgatory's enforces. Soldiers to protect the cycle of death, those in Un-death are the Psychopomp's targets, their purpose aligns closely to Clerics of the grave domain.
Psychopomps come in a wide variety of forms, chosen by the one in question when chosen by the gods.
Vampire
a Vampire or Vampirism is not strictly a species on its own but rather a genetic condition as most other species are able to be infected with Vampirism and so become Vampires of their species.
But it is not a developing condition and rather a transformative one when hosts of the condition all share similar traits. Such a unique situation deems there be some level of categorisation for Vampires and their ilk.
