a Vampire or Vampirism is not strictly a species on its own but rather a genetic condition as most other species are able to be infected with Vampirism and so become Vampires of their species. \\ But it is not a developing condition and rather a transformative one when hosts of the condition all share similar traits. Such a unique situation deems there be some level of categorisation for Vampires and their ilk.
