When souls have not satisfied the requirements for Celestia but have not been so vile to end up in the Nine Hells, Souls that are not promised to a Patron or Hag from a bargain, Souls not caught in magic items or trapped by spells they end up in Equilibrius, Purgatory.

Equilibrius is a realm of Grey, where the life of those souls not meeting the criteria for a different afterlife end up.

The realm is much like the mortal realm, it is mundane, stale, quite , the realm lacks colour, its sky a constant grey haze of fog, buildings like towers of flat stone, brutalist in design. Everything is ever so slightly off, small bits of rust coat metal fences, plants are always showing signs of slight sickness, birds sing songs off tune.
Some will find this realms maddening, some will find it calming, Some will find it boring but most will loose themselves to the mundane grey.

Most Souls here are but husks, ever wandering the mundane landscape, or filling a never ending cycle of eat sleep work repeat. some souls of strong will become more observant perhaps making a small afterlife for themselves, as with normal Life, purgatory can be made to be at least bearable and even somewhat enjoyable by those who put the effort in.

This realm is overseen by the Grave domain. The gods who protect the cycle of death and fight against those on Un-Death. Grave clerics are one example.

Revenants and Psycoamophs also come from this realm. The Later being the Domain’s chosen warriors to fight the Un-Death while the later are escapees
