Back to Stories - More about Sarren
Written by: Sammy

Chapter 1: The Journey before the Journey
“Are you sure?”
Sarren nodded fast, agitated by this stage. after his plans had been announced all he had were people trying to offer aid or assistance. then asking 'Is this a good idea'. His assistant speaking worried. “o of course sir, You have been adamant for the last week but. You are banished from most of the land. How do you intend to reach Ferrabreeze and her ports undetected? it seems far too dangerous to chase shadows.”

Sarren scoffed. his patience running low. he simply gestured a silent hand to dismissed his assistant. running out of even written words on him.

His plan was sound, the journey would be quick and painless all he had to do was make it to the nearest Teleportation circle and he would be in Ferrabreeze within moments. He had little concern getting discovered. The Blinding spear had mostly faded into memory and as long as he didn't draw any attention he should go unnoticed.

As per Sarren's expectations he made it to Ferrabreeze within a few days. reaching Mulburg's Teleportation circle was the hardest part.

The ship leaving for the Islands was a grand vessel. armed to the mast, With hundreds of crew and visitors alike. No wonder the toll was so high. this ship looked like it could taken on anything the ocean threw at it.
With his supplies on board he went to find his office. With his credentials he had managed to get a private quarters, as one of the Ships scholars, though this story was just a farce for his real intentions.

Before cast off, Sarren took the opportunity to explore the massive ship. running into the Captain giving orders on deck. Her took one look at Saren and jumped down to greet him. Swining off a support rope and sliding down the balister. he looked to be elderly but in terific shape. blazing red hair and beard. he wore a coat with no shirt and pants fit for a salior. His laugh could inspire an army as he clutched Sarren's hand in greeting. He was tall, almost 8ft it seemed. he looked human enough.
“Ahhhar you must be the mute scholar. a pleasure to meet such an odd fellow harr harr harrrrr”
The deck was alive with activity, crew working together getting the behemoth of a ship ready to sail. even a band of bards seemed to be singing and playing music. Sarren could easily tell these bards were infact weaving magic into their song to motivate the crew with vigor and inspiration.
