The Markings called Minera
All Goliath have these tribal markings. Called Minera which is a Giant word. They are natural dark parts of their flesh ins runic patterns that typically only start appearing during puberty. But some children are born with them and there are histories of children born with Minera clearly defined means they are destined to one day leave the tribe and play a part in destiny.
The Minera are often made up of the Joutunbrud Runes, an ancient giant language of power which holds the secret to all manor of things. But none other than the True giants themselves know this language of power. Though some in Felwind have learned scraps of it.
Hill Giants, Not True Jotun
Despite the name and sharing many similar physical traits, Hill Giants are actually a rather new species when compared to the other Joutunbrud they are intelligent but simple minded only ever really chasing food and comfortable places to sleep or releaving bordom by smashing mountains. They do not have the Joutn's Giant craft and very limited Runic Magic and lack much of the culture surrounding True Giants. The un-refined runt of the True Giants. but even a Runt can be dangerous.

(Supplement)
True descendants of the Jotunbrud (Giant). A Mix between them and Mortal blood gave birth to the first Goliath. The other side of the coin of war to the Dragonborn. Though just like their lineage Goliath are far more rare than Dragonborn in Felwind. Often living in high mountains or blizzard battered lands.
Goliath is the name used in 'Common' rather they are more respectably called Jotunettin which translates as 'Giant-Runt' or 'Giant-Child'.
Goliath are known for their tribal nature and being very intimidating. Much like Lizardfolk their culture revolves heavily around combat, hunting and feats of power while also having a strong sense of community and more interesting still is a love of art and crafts.
Normally in the way of wooden or stone sculptures, Hand made jewellery and cutting precious stones. Even painting has been observed.
Most would think Goliath to be slow or less intelligent due to their size and stature along with Orcs or Bugbears but most are surprised to know that Goliath are very intelligent, more-so wise than book smarts but they understand culture norms and can problem solve far better than anyone stereotypically expects, which makes them even more of a intimidating presence.
things that catch a Goliath off guars is the use of currency and the wide varied nature of social status.

(Draw Steel)
Hakaan are distinct from their stone goliath cousins. Descended from a tribe of giants in Vanigar, Uthasil. The original Hakaan tribe made a bargain with Holkatja the trickster god. They traded some of their gigantic size and strength for the ability to see the future. But Holkatja betrayed them, and the only future they are allowed to see is the moment and nature of their own death. These visions are never of some mundane tragedy. No Hakaan ever received a vision of dying from choking on a grape. The doomsight is always momentous—always dramatic.

Jotunbrud Details
Giants, A rather self explanatory species of humanoid but far from simple.
The term 'Giant' is used to describe many things of great size however Giants The species, Or Jotunbrud in their own language. Are far bigger than most think.
Today in Felwind Giants would be considered myth if not for all the evidence they left behind as well as still some True Jotunbrud living around Felwind. There is little doubt they have been in the mortal plain far longer than an previous known species.
Records of Abolith speaking of their first birth being in the shadows of the Jotunbrud
So a species of people as ancient as the stars but today we only have a handful of true Jotunbrid left and literal mountains of what they left behind. Cities built in the clouds. Their ancient Runic Magic, weapons of such perfect craftsmanship it makes the gods shy away, unable to match it. Why did they leave?
Many Giants can be found in their suitable Elemental Planes where they have seemed to build new culture, But they remain separate from each other where they once worked together to shape the land many people now call home.
Recounts of an Abolith
-Abolith
- Yes. it was my first life, my first memories. I have lived thousands of lives since then, Mellina upon millenia of years past. but I will always remember. the land mortals call home. an entire nation was lifted up upon the shoulders of only ten 'Jotunbrid'. They were far bigger then than they are now. As if they carried a great plate, an offering to the people they were making the world for. But even now against their grand design the earth and rock has changed on its own and now far different. Even the 'Jotunbrid' cannot tame the passage of time.

This city was originally I the Elemental plane of water however due to the meddling of a Hag Coven like many parts of the plains it was spliced into the mortal plane known as Felwind and now sits far from any coast out in the middle of the ocean floating empty of the people wo built it.
The City of Iellkan has lay abandoned for thousands of years, built in the clouds out above the ocean the place is hard to reach, but you may not have to fly as the city has decayed the Giant magic used to hold it in the sky has waved and parts of the city come crashing to the ocean every few years. A bountiful place full of lore and treasure but the hard part is getting there, the even harder part is fighting off the guardians that remain
