Execution As group is look at bounty board or travelling through dry district there is a crowd gathering toward the townhall / jail house.
If group investigates they find guards setting up what a bonfire, just collecting wood and stacking it up around a central chared metal pole, there are also nearby market stalls being set up around the town square. The group see Haldir leaving the nearby townhall and heading towards the manor, he take a quick look at the set up but continues on his way.
Looks like set up is nearly done as sun is starting to set, soon a blue female tiefling gagged and wearing rags is brought out and taken to the bonfire and tied to the central pole, she looks weak, beaten, and malnourished her eyes scan the crowd pausing just for a moment longer on the group who stand out against the normal townsfolk. Once tied up a lizardfolk noble steps forward. “Tonight we bring you a demon who was hiding and plotting a demonic ritual in our great city and due to you wonderful citizens you lead us to its capture and as a thank you we hope to bring you a show tonight, enjoy the markets and don't forget the Harvest close festival on Sunday.”

Passive 17+, the tiefling looks to see if the guards are watching her then looks up to a second story window and shakes her head.
After a few guards douse some oil over the wood and tiefling, a flaming torch is brought out.
The Tiefling looks up towards the same window again and nods her head, just at the flames start to light the bonfire an arrow flies out piercing the tiefling in the head and she goes limp. “SEARCH THAT BUILDING”. Guards start rushing towards the two story building that the arrow came from.
If detect magic or similar is used there is two sources of illusion magic (Johime & Akzer) that emerge from the second story window and move onto the roof and start quickly moving away. There is panic among townsfolk as the bonfire is now in full force, the noble and some guards are calming the public saying they have it under control and try to enjoy the festivities.
