Sir Dallas
Origins shrouded in mystery, Dallas arrived in Reton 31 years ago claiming to be a retired combat instructor from Oxtrad. He soon found clout as an instructor for many a noble’s child in the Reton region before coming directly into the service of Duke Federic training the young masters and ladies of the court in swordplay and etiquette. In the last 6 years his duties have been relaxed from instructing due to his advanced years and outside of instructing his adopted granddaughter Damira and a few exceptional courtiers he mostly serves an advisory and diplomatic role. Since the death of Federic, Dallas and his Granddaughter have spent an exceptional amount of time in isolation. Guards and nosy courtiers have noted that they seem to be in the middle of extensive training.

Count Maag of Covania was the head of a sect of extremist nobles that saw the loose federation with Oxtrad and Reton as a concession on Covania’s part. Maag pushed for the subjugation of the two neighbouring kingdoms under the promise that the continent would enjoy greater stability and safety from outside threats if all their armed forces came under one unitary power. He received harsh criticism from conglomerate hardliners and persecution at his push to use outlawed races in the military to overwhelm Reton and Oxtrad simultaneously. Maag staged a coup d’etat to take control of the Kingdom of Corvania himself but was betrayed by many of the nobles who were angered by his relaxed stance on outlawed races. Maag’s family was executed, his keep razed and his lands divided between the surrounding nobles. Maag died 10 years later in the dungeons of Covania at age 56.
The reality is that Maag survived. Operating in the shadows of Corvania, Oxtrad and Reton. He became a master of Deception and even now plans his revenge on the Royal Family of Covania. With the seeds of Rebellion planted, Maag will use his new identity as Sir Dallas of Duke Thomas Rollo’s court to strike back at the powers that be.
