A dragon who is not quite a Dragon. Draconda is the name given to an otherwise completely unknown species. The size of you average kobold but much sturdier. With full wings capable of flight a hefty tail able to crack bones, Galatea is an extremely unique creature.

  • Ability Score Increase Increase your Strength, Constitution, or Charisma score by 1, up to a maximum of 20 and increase two scores of your choice by 1. (including the same score)
  • Age Draconda follow dragons ageing, They are considered young right up until they reach 100 years of age reach adulthood at age 100 can age beyond 800 years at which point they are seen as Ancient by dragon kin.
  • Alignment Draconda follow alignments dependent on their scale/hide colour, Silver and golds being of good alignments while red and black being of evil alignments however their upbringing may have altered their perception in life and so their scales would have darkened or brightened depending of their natural alignment and their new found alignment, a Black Draconda may have been shown nothing but kindness in its life so its scales now resemble a more grey to dark blue colour.
  • Size Dracona are normally similar in stature to Kobolds. Being between 3 and 4 feet tall and weigh between 60 and 120 pounds. They are small in stature but extremely dense and have naturally large muscles in order to move their tails and wings similar to Dwarves, your size is small.
  • Cold Sensitivity You have disadvantage on attack rolls and on Strength, Dexterity and Constitution checks that rely on your physical movement, when subject to cold climates.
  • Draconic Ancestry You are closely related to a particular kind of dragon. Choose a type of dragon from the below list; this determines your weakness and the type of resistance you gain.
  • Draconic Legacy The Draconda connection to dragons can manifest in unpredictable ways in an individual Draconda. Choose one of the following legacy options when you select this race:
    • You can make unarmed strikes with your tail. When you hit with it, the strike deals 1d6 + your Strength modifier bludgeoning damage, instead of the bludgeoning damage normal for an unarmed strike.
      This damage increases to 1d8 at 6th level, 1d10 at 11th Level and 1d12 at 16th Level
  • Draconic Roar As a bonus action, you let out a draconic roar at your enemies within 10 feet of you. Until the end of your next turn, you and your allies have advantage on attack rolls against any of those enemies who could hear the roar. You can use this trait a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus, and you regain all expended uses when you finish a long rest.

    You manifest scales and claws reminiscent of your draconic ancestors. You gain the following benefits:
    • Your scales harden. While you aren't wearing armor, you can calculate your AC as 13 + your Dexterity modifier. You can use a shield and still gain this benefit.
    • You can grow retractable claws from the tips of your fingers. Extending or retracting the claws requires no action. The claws are natural weapons, which you can use to make unarmed strikes. If you hit with them, you deal slashing damage equal to 1d4 + your Strength modifier, instead of the normal bludgeoning damage for an unarmed strike.

    You sprout draconic wings. With your wings, you have a flying speed of 20 feet if you aren’t wearing armor or wielding a heavy weapon, your size is currently classified as small and aren't exceeding your carrying capacity.
  • Breath Weapon You can use your action to exhale destructive energy. It deals damage in an area according to your ancestry. When you use your breath weapon, all creatures in the area must make a saving throw, the type of which is determined by your ancestry.
    The DC of this saving throw is 8 + your Constitution modifier + your proficiency bonus. A creature takes 2d6 damage on a failed save, and half as much damage on a successful one.
    The damage increase to 3d6 at 6th level, 4d6 at 11th, and 5d6 at 16th level.
    (Hombrew) you may use your breath weapon a number of times equal to your Constitution modifier. You regain expended uses on a short or long rest.

    Each creature in the cone must make a Dexterity saving throw against your spell save DC, taking See Table damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one

Reactions

Infused Strikes. When another creature within 30 feet of the drake that it can see hits with a weapon attack, the drake infuses the strike with its essence, causing the attack to deal an extra 1d6 damage of the type determined by its Draconic Essence.
