This otherwise normal torch has a Continual Flame spell cast on it. This causes it to shed light like an ordinary torch, but it does not emit heat or deal fire Damage if used as a weapon.

Researches are not sure how this item came to be, often the most simple of items have the strangest mechanics. however the theory going around is that the torch instead of burning wood is burning life force, very very subtlety.
