Summery
Professor Stem can be described simply as a seeker of knowlage and teacher of it. Stem pursues his own goals fo furrthering his mind to the point where he is the apex of knowlage. He lacks several key parts of humanity such as empathy. unable to think how his actions may affect others. He keeps his journey stimulated with a few hobbies such as his collection of magic items. running an esteemed university and attending the most royal and noble of parties/events.

Orphell
Something that Stem Created then let loose into the world. There isn't much connection between these two. as soon as Orphell gained humanity Stem pretty much called the experiment a sucsess then pushed her out the front door.

Stem has always been a fanatic for secrets and the unknown. Born as a mutated Triton things like that always seemed to magnetise to him. From a very early age he learned of beings known as gods and made it his life's work to study them and more importantly their motives.
His research off land only carried him so far, learning that most Gods were like Humans in both origin and motive.
Stem saw this as boring and a waste of time. 'How can beings with so much power be so one note?'
This drove him to dry land to Study them first hand.

Stem learned the ways of humans very quickly, most worshiped currency and power above all else and non of them lived long enough to properly learn from previous generations mistakes. During his travels he stumbled apon a school which he took an instant liking too, being able to study, teach and experiment without repercussions.

And so the Great Sea Spire was born. Stem Renovated an existing light house off the coast of Whitkin
The spire was a grand design, being raised 3 times its original height and being build far far bellow sea level

There Stem Collected rare specimens of creatures to study and teach to willing students, his University quickly became renowned as he hired further teachers, staff and guards to protect the spire.
He never seemed to sleep and when it wasn't school hours he spent the days down bellow, creating horrid creatures known as “The Drowned” and further his knowledge on gods. This lead him to something deep and lost in history, The Old Gods.

Stem did unspeakable things to obtain further records and knowledge of the Old Gods, Traveling dimensions, sacrificing and even murder. His quest for knowledge sent him on a downward spiral.
It was here that he learned of the cornerstone Dragons, the Land of Exilis, the Four and the Old god that had its name taken.
He learned that it was possible to Get to this Land of Old gods, and ad his mind began to crack he wanted every mortal to experience the majesty of these old gods by sinking the entier Material plane into the abyss.

However, Heros caught wind of his plan and foiled his attempts, instead sending just his spire into the abyss along with anyone else that was in the spire at the time.
Stem howver did make it to the land of Exilis and so his plan somewhat succeeded.
