The name Blinding Spear came from the weapon their captain used. A marvellous doubled headed glaive of perfect craftsmanship.
The glaive was given to Zyllis when first awaking in the mortal plain.

  • It was used in the Battle for Nabilhime to fight off the invaders.
  • It Came to Zyllis in the depths of Stowjaw and allowed him to carve his way out of the depth of hell.
  • With Zyllis it fought in the 27 year long Ashlem war.
  • It Journied to Exilis where it challenged the old gods and fought off the Livion virus
  • It helped free an entire continent of outlawed species, Aided the fight in the Battle For Rustille1)
  • And now sits, protecting its fallen comrades so their eternal rest may not be disturbed. its master tainted and tired may never return to reclaim it…but there is always hope.

Prerequisites
Only a creature not of evil or chaotic alignment may attune to this weapon, those who have not attuned to this weapon find it much to heavy to wield effectively and unable to grasp it correctly rendering it usable only as an improvised weapon
This Weapon takes up 3 attunement slots, if a character attempting to attune to this weapon doesn't have the required slots the attunement will fail.

Effects
While attuned to this weapon you gain the following benefits:

  • You gain +4 to your AC
  • You gain +2 to all your saving throws
  • You may use your bonus action to make another attack with this weapon.
  • You gain a 2nd reaction per turn if not under the effects of magical or physical hinderance. (blinded, deafened, restrained, exhausted, Frightened, Charmed or any other means the DM agrees is suitable.)

Spell Sunder
The glaive is especially effective against hostile spells, with a powerful cleave the user can nullify and absorb some types of spells that take aim.

Using a Reaction when targeted by a ranged spell attack you can absorb that spell into the glaive, nullifying its effects, You can use this ability a number of times equal to your Charisma bonus +1.
You can absorbs any spell or spell cast from a magic item, as long as it targets the you alone and is not a touch spell. The wielder cannot absorb touch spells, AOE spells2), or effects from magical devices that aren't spells.

Whenever the wielder absorbs a spell, they gain a number of Charges for the glaive equal to the level of the spell. A total of 10 charges can be store. You can use the charges in the following ways.

  • Force Blast: Consuming one Charge & Bonus Action you can make a ranged Spell attack (Charisma is the modifier) against a creature in 60ft, if hit the creature takes 2D10 Force Damage and the caster may knock the target 10ft back.
  • Conversion: You can convert charges into spell slots once per long rest. You use an action to convert any number of charges into spell slots.
    • Example: Converting 9 charges into a 9th level spell slot
    • Example: Converting 5 charges into a 2nd and 3rd level spell slot

The wielder can channel their own spell slots into the glaive to increase its charges. The spell slot level determining the amount of charges gained. The glaive doesn't gain charges naturally.

Relic
This item is a Relic, Similar to an Artifact but lacks the random Boons/Drawback that an artifact would normally have. Unable to be replicated or destroyed by normal means.

How To Destroy

  • If the original wielder dies (Zyllis) the glaive will turn to dust where ever it may be.
  • The Glaive may be returned to the giants who crafted it for its destruction. The giants would need to be located and then convinced to destroy the weapon.

The Giants crafted a weapon to be wielded by a Hero. a being who would save nations and fight for people. a person who would risk themselves at every turn to try and make the world a better place, Someone who would willingly sacrifice themselves to right the wrongs they may commit. But no mortal is capable of these traits, corruption seeps into the hearts of all mortals. maybe the Giants were simply to naïve, or actively foolish.
Though one did try to fill these expectations, Over several millennia he tried and failed to fill the desires of the Giants and in the end he deemed himself unworthy to wield the weapon any longer, Leaving it with his friends at Lily Vale Cemetery before he was exiled.

1)
Wasnt actually at the battle as Zyllis was exiled at the time of the battle
2)
Unless the wielder is the only affected target
