The hum of the high speed train roused Robert up from his fragile slumber. As he slowly came too he say the artificial light from the deep tunnels was gone and the only light was the colourful glow of the various other passengers and the city he was aiming for.
Sitting up to stretch his artificial arm, flexing his fingers still not completely used to the sight of his mistakes. Looking around it seemed many people were just like him, missing parts to be replaced by enhancements, either bought, loaned or stolen who could say.

After making sure nothing was missing Robert picked himself up from the hard train seats to flex his aching limbs, enhancements were fruitless and painless if you had the money for it and the drugs to suppress the adjustment pain, Robert was not such in that position. His movment caught they eye of some other passengers but not much else. Cigarette smoke hung in the air and the glow of Recter city could be seen out the windows. It was huge, unbelievably so, colourful with the advertisements and billboards of corporations fighting for a sale and Robert knew this was only the tip of the iceberg, the city dug far lower then the surface and the towers stretched high above the clouds.
Robert went to the window to get a better look, almost in awe seeing the city for the first time. Flying vehicles littered the skies owned only by the luckiest members of society.

Robert returned to his seat and shuffled through his bag to find his holoplate. A device that anyone and everyone owned unless you were how the corporations say. Unreliable it was a device that acted as a phone, information searcher, credit card, anything you need to survive day to day life. Each one was coded to a single person so nobody can just run off with it and it’s easily traceable.
Robert booted it up and hooked the device up to the implants on his neck before opening the audio email he had been sent some weeks ago.
