Weapon mechanics

COmponents

Core: Affects weight and overall strenght, applies flat stats for blades/ heads etc to multiply. can also add flat magical damage without costing enchantments and also can have a variety of other effects.
Blade / Head: adds main damage output, mutiplies off cores stats, can be magical at cost of enchantments, serated, long, broad, heavy, pronged etc
Handle / Hilt: adds small benifits, being able to use as a focus. decreasing weight. making it resistant to disaming etc, can also add extra attacks or add extra damage dice
String: ranged only: gives same benefits as a hilt or handle.
Stock: Crossbow only: gives additional hilt/ handle benefits

Tiers
Ebony: Basic, light weight, sturdy
Ivory: Basic,Light weight, Sturdy, enchantable
Iron: Strong, adds basic properties
Steel: Stronger, adds basic properties
Silver: Specificity harmful to certain creatures, same as steel otherwise
Titanium: Highest quality all around, adds basic properties
Mythiral: Adds special properties
Tellarium: Adds special properties and some resistances

Mage Stone: Adds magic properties
Dragon heart: Adds fire properties
Obsidian Crystal: Adds Dark properties and resistances
Livion Stone: adds life drain properties and corruption
Outer Crystal: adds pcycic properties and mind twisting properties
Abyssal Heart: legendary material, unkown properties
