Kakatine Kindread

Kakatine, A Yuan-Ti from Promise looking to spread the good word of her mother's “divinity”. A talented up incoming Bard making her performance known around Greyhawk.
Yuan-Ti are rather rare across the world, At least rare in common society. As one of the various monstrous species their presence is often met with caution or fear. They come in a wide spectrum of shapes and sizes, Scholars refer to it as a spectrum, The extremes being a simple humanoid all the way to huge serpent. Kakatine leans towards the serpent side. Resembling the overall shape of a Lizard-Folk though with a much longer neck and limbs. As such she hasn't had any major issues with the public about her appearance, Even with the overall distaste for certain species in Mor-Thir.

She grew up with the Goblin's of Promise and they loved to play music to honour their Goddess. Kakatine herself was treated as royalty among the Goblin tribes, Being the daughter of their God. With their Music Kakatine followed the path of performance and with Mother's vast knowledge learning the instruments was a simple path. That love of music leading to arcane, The ways of the Bard, Able to weave magic into song and performance.

Her passion for the Serpent Empress has made getting work as a Bard difficult. Most commoners merely want to enjoy good music with interesting stories, no a advertisement for religion. So Kakatine has been working on new songs before jumping back into the fire.

Her younger sister Viprellina never sat well with the whole life her mother had made. Some of the religious practices the Goblins would commit to 'Honour' their goddess was horrifying. Vip never agreed to it actively protesting yet her mother and the Goblins would simple ignore her pleas. It got to a breaking point and Vip left their home in Promise to find her own path and distance herself from her Mother.
Despite this Kakatine and Viprellina still get along only certain topics must be avoided.

A respect for books and other form or written knowledge was aggressively taught to Kakatine since she was able to speak. She was taught many types of languages and can identify most written ciphers.
Outside of music she enjoys the fine details of things, The intricate design of rare artifacts or treasure. Ornate designs of doors or weapon handles. Its fine things like this that spark her odd interest.

Practising some of Mother's religious traditions has been an exhilarating experience. Often done out of the public eye due to their nature.

Her style of music is quite different from most of your typical bards and perhaps that's why her music has had such a aggressive reaction by fans and haters alike, Being a brand of Rock'n'Roll introduced where mostly classical melodies and lutes have been before. Especially In Greyhawk that is mostly Elven culture.
